While the there are no technical differences in the software between the normal Dekstop and Terminal Services licenses (they both work on the same
Desktop version of the software), the benefits of a Terminal Services license is that it can be shared by many users, and often more importantly,
that it is more efficient on larger files, when those files are stored on a server. This is due solely to the benefit of running the software on
the same machine that the file is located on, as a Desktop user would normally have to read the file through a mapped drive, which is much slower.
All emails will be responded to within 24 business hours at most, but usually much sooner than that. This does not mean an automated response, but
a real reply from a person on the develoment team who can answer any level of techincal question.
CLI stands for Command Line Interface, and allows File Query to be called by other programs, or easily scheduled/triggered based on various events.
The standard Desktop version is for interactive use only.
All versions from the download page are fully functional for the first 30 days after installation, giving plenty of time to evaluate the software.
During that period, please send any questions you might have to us through the Support page, and we will do our best to help you get the most from
File Query.
