Video Series

Viewing a File
The first video in the series gives a brief intoduction to the basic interface of File Query, and some of the features available for simple viewing of the file. You will see how much information is presented to you as soon as you open it, and how a single button press takes you from un-readable delimited data to neat, ordered, columns.

Querying a File
This video goes beyond just looking at a file, and shows you how to actually query a file to get the specific information you are looking for. This could involve finding records where a certain field is empty, too long, equals a certain value, or contains the wrong type of data.

Analyzing/Validating a File
If you are not looking for a certain part of a file, but instead want information about it; such as if a field is unique, what values does it contain (and how often does each occur), what is the max length, or even making sure that each line contains the correct number of fields, then this is the video for you.
